Here comes the news that Blizzard will bring WOW spell variance back to Shadowlands. But it will be just kept in 5% currently. If you want to learn more information, please continue to read below.
WOW spell variance added to Shadowlands
Blizzard has launched a Blue Post announcing that the spell variance will be added to Shadowlands. This time around, variance comes back into WOW for most non-periodic abilities on all classes, and its amount will be kept small, just for 5% currently. This means that if a spell has a tooltip value of 1,000 damage, it will actually deal somewhere between 950-1050 damage.
Blizzard states that getting the spell variance back is to "bring back the small bit of texture and avoid the result where using the same spell repeatedly results in exactly the same 3- or 4-digit number every time."
Whether WOW spell variance should come back or not?
There has been a lot of controversy since the official post related to the return of spell variance comes out. Based on the feedback, we can know that most of players are against this decision.
