We have confirmed that all WOW Classic items will be set to Patch 1.12 with no progressive itemization. That means the stats of items will not change for each patch. Why do Blizzard do something like this?
What the items will be like with WOW Classic released?
More details about itemization in WOW Classic have been shared that WOW Classic will only include the last version of the item, as it existed in the reference version 1.12. That means there is no progressive itemization and the items will not change stats or appearance in different content phases like items changed throughout vanilla WOW.
On the other hand, after scouring through vendor lists and treasure tables for items added in patches, the dev team have attached them to the stages content unlock plan. For example, if a new item was originally added to a dungeon boss’s loot table with Ahn’Qiraj, it’s impossible for you to see it appear in WOW Classic until Phase 5 (the phase containing Ahn’Qiraj content).
How could this happen?
Besides re-fixing every major progression-affecting bug, there were many unknowns in original WOW.
As a core of WOW Classic’s design, the dev team are aiming accurately and fully to restore the original game’s mechanics and stats to their final and most polished state from before The Burning Crusade rather than recreate a specific experience from 2005 that can never fully be recaptured.
All in all, with systems like class design, battleground mechanics, and stats on existing items set to their final 1.12 conditions, you will be able to unlock the content step by step, allowing for each raid tier to shine as WOW Classic arrives. Never forget there is Classic WOW gold for sale on our site.
